What Parq Casino is and where you'll find it
Parq Casino in Vancouver sits at 39 Smithe Street in downtown Vancouver's Stadium District, adjacent to BC Place and steps from Rogers Arena. The property combines a two-floor casino, the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver hotel tower, and dining under one resort complex, formerly known as Parq Vancouver.
The operator's official site at parqcasino.com is the primary source for current gaming details, hours, and promotions. Travel platforms, review sites, and social media accounts provide additional visitor perspectives, but published details on those channels may lag behind the operator's own updates.
Listings describe Parq as Vancouver's only casino in the downtown core, reflecting its location rather than a regulatory designation. British Columbia's gaming sector includes other land-based venues across the province, managed through different regional arrangements.
The Stadium District setting places Parq within walking distance of major event venues. BC Place hosts football, soccer, and concerts; Rogers Arena is home to hockey and other events. A casino visit can pair with a game or show, though parking and traffic patterns shift on event nights.
The gaming floor: slots, tables, and sports betting
Parq's gaming floor spreads across two levels, with slot machines and table games occupying the main space. The operator's site mentions a 72,000-square-foot footprint, though specific game counts, table limits, and machine denominations are not detailed in public listings.
Slot offerings typically range from classic reel formats to video slots with bonus features. Table games include standard options like blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. Minimum bets and maximum limits vary by table and time of day, so confirm those details on arrival or through the casino's contact channels.
Live poker action is mentioned alongside VIP Salons in directory listings, but stakes, game formats, and room hours are not established in the available evidence. Players planning a poker session should verify current offerings and seat availability directly with Parq.
Sports betting is listed among the floor's offerings. The format, available events, and betting limits are not detailed in search excerpts, so contact the casino to confirm what's open and how wagering works on site.
Matching your plan to the right part of Parq
The Parq complex combines a two-floor casino, a JW Marriott hotel tower, and dining at one downtown address. Each part publishes its own details and conditions, so routing a specific plan to the right contact saves time and ensures you get accurate information.
| Your plan downtown | Where it happens | What's described | What's still open | Confirm with |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A few hours on slots or table games | Two-floor gaming area at 39 Smithe Street | Slots and table games across two floors; described as 72,000 square feet | Game mix, table minimums and limits, machine denominations | Parq Casino directly via official site or phone |
| A live poker session | Poker room or VIP Salons area | Live poker action listed with VIP Salons in directory pages | Stakes, game formats, room hours, seat availability | Parq Casino poker room or floor staff |
| A sports bet on site | Sports betting area within the casino | Sports betting listed among floor offerings | Betting format, available events, limits, hours | Parq Casino sports betting desk |
| An overnight stay in the hotel tower | JW Marriott Parq Vancouver | Hotel steps from BC Place and Rogers Arena, part of the resort property | Room rates, availability, packages, hotel amenities | JW Marriott reservation desk or Marriott.com |
| A stop before or after an event at BC Place or Rogers Arena | 39 Smithe Street, adjacent to BC Place, near Rogers Arena | Location well documented; free parking promoted on social account with conditions not stated | Parking terms, event-night availability, traffic patterns | Parq Casino for parking details; venue for event logistics |
| Playing Parq from home | No Parq-branded online casino is established | Real-money online play in BC runs through the provincial lottery corporation's platform | Any site or app presenting itself as Parq online | BC Lottery Corporation for legal online play in the province |
Confirm details with the specific part of the property that controls them. Gaming questions go to the casino floor or official site, hotel bookings to the JW Marriott desk, and parking or event-night logistics to the casino's main contact. Online play sits outside the building entirely and requires provincial lottery channels.
Getting there, parking and opening hours
The 39 Smithe Street address places Parq in the Stadium District, bordered by BC Place and Rogers Arena. Event nights at either venue bring higher foot and vehicle traffic to the area, so allow extra time if arriving during a game or concert.
Free parking is advertised on the casino's Instagram account, described as available at Parq and promoted in connection with Rogers Arena events. Conditions, hours, and event-night restrictions are not stated in the social post, so confirm parking terms directly with the casino before relying on that offer.
One business listing shows 24-hour operation on weekdays. Operating hours can change, so verify current opening times on the official site or by phone rather than assuming round-the-clock access.
Parq Casino and online play in British Columbia
Parq is a land-based venue. No online casino or real-money gaming platform under the Parq name is established in public records or the operator's official channels.
Real-money online casino play in British Columbia runs through the provincial lottery corporation's platform. Ontario's iGaming Ontario market, which licenses private operators for online play, does not extend to BC residents. Players in British Columbia looking for legal online gaming must use the provincial system, not private operator sites.
Sites or apps presenting themselves as Parq online or using similar branding should not receive personal information, payment details, or login credentials. No legitimate online extension of the Parq Casino brand is documented. Verify any online gambling platform through British Columbia's official lottery corporation channels before registering or depositing.
Before you go: entry, ID and keeping spending in check
Minimum gambling ages differ by province across Canada. Confirm Parq's entry requirement on the official site and carry government-issued photo identification. Expect ID checks at the door and at the gaming floor.
Set a spending limit and a time limit before arriving. Cash and card spending controls work better when decided in advance, not in the middle of a session. Withdraw a fixed amount, leave additional cards at home, or use daily transaction limits on your bank account.
Look for responsible gambling information posted on site or ask floor staff about self-exclusion programs and spending management tools. Provincial support resources exist, though specific helpline numbers and program details are not sourced here. Check the casino's official channels for current responsible gambling contacts.
Is Parq Casino part of the JW Marriott hotel?
Parq Casino and the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver share the same property at 39 Smithe Street, but they operate as separate parts of the resort complex. The casino handles gaming, the hotel manages rooms and bookings. Contact each directly for their respective services.
Can I park at Parq on an event night at BC Place or Rogers Arena?
Free parking is promoted on Parq's social media, but conditions for event nights are not specified. Contact the casino directly to confirm parking availability, hours, and any restrictions when BC Place or Rogers Arena is hosting an event.
Does Parq Casino have an online version for British Columbia?
No. Parq is a land-based casino with no documented online platform. Real-money online casino play in BC is available only through the provincial lottery corporation's platform. Do not provide personal or payment information to any site claiming to be Parq online.
